May 15, 2012: Our guest speaker this week was Deb Ray of Camp Albrecht Acres. Albrecht Acres is an internationally known treasure in our community, started by local people, run by a local board, staffed and supported almost entirely by local people. But Camp Albrecht Acres attracts special needs children and adults for a unique camping experience from all corners of our nation, and a good percentage of those employed who work directly with the clients are from overseas. It is a special place for special people, and that's why the Rotary Club generously supports their efforts. Listen to this audio to attend the meeting and listen to Deb Ray's presentation. Rotary Four Way Test
of the things we think,
say, or do
In 1932, Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor created The Four-Way Test, a code of ethics adopted by Rotary 11 years later. The test, which has been translated into more than 100 languages, asks the following questions:
Of the things we think, say or do
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
