 Dubuque Police Department Crisis Response Team
![]() The Dubuque Police Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), which began as a part-time initiative in 2020 and became full-time in 2023, has made a significant impact on the tri-state area. Since summer 2023, the CIT has worked closely with the Dubuque Rescue Mission and its local partners, helping individuals in need by connecting them to critical services, such as inpatient rehabilitation and medical units for those experiencing brain health emergencies. The team’s approach is centered on compassion, empathy, and collaboration with community partners to provide the best support possible. The CIT team, has profoundly impacted the lives of those they serve, offering a human connection that helps individuals rise above their struggles and achieve a better quality of life. Their work demonstrates the power of understanding and the belief that everyone has value, no matter their circumstances. |
