The Office of Shared Prosperity & Neighborhood Development works to implement the City's Equitable Poverty Reduction & Prevention Plan. The plan addresses the below common determinants of poverty in an effort to reduce, alleviate, and, ultimately, prevent poverty in our community:

Japan Youth Exchange Experience
Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time. Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Rotary Clubs in more than 100 countries sponsor exchanges for students who are 14 to 19 years old on or before September 1.

Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

The Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, a nonprofit organization, was established in 1980. The grounds of our admission-free, 56-acre campus are maintained by over 300 volunteers. Their labor of love has created a living museum that symbolizes devotion to the growing things of the earth.
